Scrapbook, c. 1834-c. 1880.

This volume contains, for the most part, addresses, articles, essays, poems, and songs written by Thurber, during the period c. 1834 to c. 1880. Some of the articles were signed "Theta," a pseudonym used by Thurber. The items had been printed in various local newspapers and periodicals, cut out of each, and pasted into this volume. Some poems and essays are in manuscript. Toward the end of the volume is a series of articles in regard to a trip across the European continent during the year 1875.
